  • 2 cups milk

  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1 cup Gruyere cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 large yellow onions
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for caramelized onions)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for caramelized onions)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, melt butter and sauté sliced onions until caramelized (40–50 minutes).
  2. Cook turkey bacon until crispy; reserve drippings.
  3. Boil salted water and cook pasta to al dente; drain.
  4. In reserved drippings, whisk flour for 2 minutes; gradually add cream and milk while stirring.
  5. Stir in seasonings and bring to a boil; simmer gently.
  6. Combine pasta and cheese into sauce, folding gently.
  7. Serve garnished with parsley.
