  • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 cup warm water (about 110°F/45°C)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Prepare the yeast by combining warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and Italian seasoning; make a well in the center.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil into the well; stir to combine then knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover it, and let it rise for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough gently and roll it into a rectangle. Brush with olive oil then sprinkle with cheese and seasonings; press lightly.
  6. Let it rise again for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
